I love juice
We own a pretty awesome juicer, which in my day-to-day working life I generally can not be bothered using. So it sits on our kitchen bench collecting a greasy film of dust. However, as of my antenatal employment hiatus I have been using the juicer several times a week. Recent delicious fruit combos have included: Grapefruit, Carrot and Apple; Apple, Carrot and Lemon and Beetroot, Carrot and Orange. The secret to a good juice is all about keeping a balance of sweet and acidic fruit. I’ve discovered that stone fruit can be used, but they generally create a thicker, pulpier texture.
Today I made a nutritious and refreshing pear and kiwifruit juice. The resulting colour may not be very appealing, but it was very nice.

We currently have a kiwifruit surplus from our organic vege delivery. I plan to use them in the juicer to create my own Kiwi Crush- friend of pregnant women…
